Abstract:

In 2022, the European Union, in an attempt to limit the spread of Russia’s disinformation campaigns, banned RT and Sputnik News from broadcasting in the EU. Understanding the functioning of the Kremlin’s propaganda ecosystem, apart from RT and Sputnik News, is essential to address this issue. We will look at the main media in this ecosystem, their characteristics and relevant examples.
